This is the plan: we start our day visiting the painteresque town of El Morro, we grab some coconut water, we take a walk around the shipyard, we salute the sailors, we let the saline air fill our lungs. Please get into the boat: we're ready to part. The sun rays pierce the clouds into the river and flocks of pelicans hover up and down in the sky. Dolphins should appear anytime.
❧ As the great Guayas River finds its way into the Pacific Ocean, its waters go shaping numerous vein-like mongraves, which are vital for the environment -they prevent erosion, they fight back air pollution.
❧ We're staying at Posada Ingapirca, our mountain lodge just 200 meters away. It's a charming place; a 200-year-old haciendo with lovely sights all around. Play with the llamas, eat exquisite reintrepretations of the Inca diet, get all comfy next to the fireplace. We've planted hundreds of endemic trees over the place, and through time they've transformed the Posada into a unique spot in our country.
