One of the differences of our excursions is that we get to arrive to and depart from Guayaquil. You'll retrieve your luggage from a world-class middle-sized airport and minutes later you'll feel that unforgettable breeze: this is not the sea, but the Guayas River, El Manso, and the message it conveys it's pretty clear: you are now in the tropic, welcome to the Equator.
❧ Your stay at Guayaquil depends completely on your arrival and departure flights, but we can assure there's plenty to do may you get there earlier than expected. For one, the food is fantastic: you can get a bolón, a ceviche or an encebollado, or you can taste any of the international cuisine offerings. This is a modern latin american metropolis, and there's options for anyone.
❧ The River Walk is Guayaquil's must-see attraction. Inmmerse into the MAAC modern art museum, take a hike deep into Cerro Santa Anas through the colorful Las Peñas neighborhood; or visit el Parque de Las Iguanas, where you'll see them roaming in the natural habitat. There's many restaurants, cafes and bars, all lined-up across the majestic Guayas River.
❧ We will take a short stop at Manglares Churute, a protected ecological reserve just outside the city that happens to be located on route to Cuenca. It's home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including a variety of monkeys, reptiles and birds: you'll be able to take a canoe ride and explore the wildlife up close.
